grease?

new to the list, and had a few questions....



1) if the camera takes 6 1.5V AA batteries which add up to 9V, then how come

it runs on 12V power? I realize that it DOES run with 9V of power, but seems

to run better with 12!  I have added a 2-battery-pack to mine and it

operates much better.



2)anyone know how to output sound from original unit's mic system to rca

out? I have done the vid rca out conversion which works great, but would

like to be able to get that "rolling" sound from the cassette chassis

happening too...



3)have you ever oiled your camera? how? should I use grease / WD40 / 3-in-1 oil?
