I used to prefer audio tapes over video tapes, because it made my PXL portable, which is what I liked. Then afterward to prevent any quality loss, I'd transfer everything to video tape. Why am I speaking in past tense? Well... About a year ago (before I even knew that this list existed), my PXL's motor stopped working for some reason or another. I mean, it does work, but something's clogging it down. I only one one PXL (I'm broke) so that's about it. I'd like to repair it, but my electronic skills are pretty much nonexistant. I've soldered, but not enough that I'm confident that I know what I'm doing. I'm a budding filmmaker, and not really much of an electronics hobbyist. And, since I'm broke, I can't really send it out for the $150 going-rate to get it repaired. If anybody knows where I can get this thing fixed for about $20-$50 bucks, I'd really like to know. -Brian G.
