I agree 150%!! I also find the appearance the of video by recording on an audiocassette very appealing, it has a raunchiness to it that you just can't get by other means. Im' not really for modifying (or butchering :-) ) my PXL for composite CVBS outputs so I can record to a standard camcorder, I want to keep my PXL as original and sacrosanct as possible :). That's also why I use audio tapes... >But sometimes I record on the VCR because the contrast is beautiful. >I think both are cool ! >Did you saw the Sonic Youth's video "Mote"? >PXL pictures who are filmed on a TV for a full screen ! Great effect.. >Sylvain Hmm, I haven't seen this video, but I remember seeing a concert taped live on ABC late night tv once, some shots were taped with what looked like a PXL, with slight RF inter- ference and all, but I don't remember what band it was though... :( The picture looked like it was digitally zoomed in slightly to get rid of the black border... I also remember similar-looking scenes in the old Nickelodeon tv show "Sk8 TV" back in the late 80's... Hmm, could it have been a PXL, or just a really good effect made by other means... Totally agree about using the VCR, also... :) ryan bd272@scn.org
