Everyone seems to prefer the highest capacity audio cassette, but I think we should be wary of cassettes with over 100 minute capacity. How do you think they cram all those minutes onto the same size cassette? By making the tape thinner. The thinner tape kinks, creases, and jams up much more easily than the standard thickness. This is made worse in the PXL because the tape is traveling at a high speed. I usually shoot direct to VHS, but when I do use the internal recorder, I use audio cassettes of 100 min or 60 min.
