small PXL question

I recently acquired a PXL camera, but it is just the body.  I believe it

works because the tape ran (and recorded) when I plugged in a friend's

multi-purpose AC adapter.  I haven't been able to see what was recorded,

however, because there's no way to connect it to a TV.  I tried an AV cable

and wasn't surprised when that didn't work.  I downloaded the manual pages

from a PXL website, and notice that there's some kind of RF switch needed.

My question is:  is this the same kind of switch used with old video game

systems like ataris and neintendos?



Also, there are some detailed instructions on modifying the camera to

incorporate a set of AV jacks.  Although I don't plan on doing this right

away, I was wondering how easy this would be for someone with no experience

soldering things..?
