New to list

I finally joined this list after being lucky enough to find a Pixelvision   

at a local flea market (where I was on the hunt for old videogames).   

 However, the unit does not seem to send an image to the TV.  I am   

running an RCA cable out to an RF modulator and trying all the channels   

and don't seem to get any image from it.  The unit appears to record (the   

light goes on and the tape moves) and it seems to have been relatively   

well taken care of.  I have looked on the Web for an instruction manual   

to no avail.  Any pointers?  Can anyone tell me what the switch near the   

video out jack does?  I am assuming that it switches channels.



I have seen the name of one repairer on the two web sites I have found   

relating to the Pixelvision, so if I can't figure out the problem myself,   

I know where to go, but I figured I would look here for basic advice   

first.
