This year we are seeking submissions of new experimental video shorts (30 minutes or less), digital and low-res video. We are also interested in entertainment, documentary and educational interactive media work. Work must be recent; it should have been completed within the past year (1996-1997) but may have been screened in other festivals (please indicate if this would be a "premiere" festival for your entry, however.) There are competitive and curated sections. Winning films and artist bios will be included in a published catalog, screened for the public in New York City in May, 1997 and possibly distributed on cable channels. In past years, the competition has attracted producers, distributors, critics and others FORMAT: initial submissions on 1/2" videotape; Entry fee: $25 (no waivers this year, although some travel support may be available for winning artists.) DEADLINE: March 15, 1997. The festival will be held in May, 1997 in New York City.
