Bernard, I believe that little blue filter is an infrared filter. It helps to remove glare from bright reflections and bright/warm objects (i think). I removed one because of the same problem, and image looks just fine to me. Ive tried to send this message to you in the past, but got it returned. So here goes, Ill try it again. Regards, Dan Smith
