I'm probably wrong but it is of no consequence to me because I > have a seperate camcorder that I record to. Copper has never been an "ingredient" in a magnetic tape formulation. You must have been thinking of something else, probably Chrome. > That camera is a 95 samsung scx915 8mm. > It has in/out video. Most camcoredrs only have out, making them > worthless as field vcrs. this camcorder is older and cheap at the time. If one of the VCR controls of your camcorder, (i.e. a button right next to PLAY, PAUSE etc.) says "REC" on it then your camcorder has video inputs. If it has only one set of jacks for video and audio, use THAT for input but remember, it is INPUT ONLY while you are recording. This is the way most of the Sonys and Canons work. Finally, if your camcorder has the audio/video inputs but you cannot record OR you can record but the picture rolls or is otherwise unstable, it is most likely due an incorrect modification on your PXL. (Refer to the message I posted here 3 weeks ago for the details). <<alex kanaris>> ============================================================================== Alexander Kanaris ___ ___ kanaris@bode.usc.edu Electrical Engineering --- Systems / / /__ / kanaris@thales.usc.edu University of Southern California /__/ ___/ /__ kanaris@aludra.usc.edu Los Angeles, California 90089-2562 kanaris@alumni.caltech.edu ==============================================================================
