IMO, yes. If you're not expecting a PXL you may find it useful for a 

variety of things. It has a cool surveillance-cam kinda look, and 

connects directly to your VCR (or computer, if you have an AV Macintosh). 

I'm currently working on a series shot entirely on Kidcam and edited on 

the Mac.
