Hi >> So what brand/style of audio tape does everybody record their movies >>on? I'm looking for just the right balance of price and quality. I like Fuji, because in addition to the superior quality, they're usually pretty cheap in packages. (I usually get the 5 pack for about 6 or 7 bucks. Good buy!) These are the top of the line Fuji tapes. The comparable tapes in Sony or Maxell brands seem to be marketed as "CD copying" tapes. Those are also extremely good tapes, but extremely expensive. >I want to add something onto this question: >Has anyone noticed a diff between the quality of a 60minute tape & a 90min >tape? >-Bernard Well, technically, you're only supposed to use 90 minute tapes in the PXL-2000, I think it has to do with the motor. (I mean, you only get 5 minutes a side with 90 minute tapes anyway, so why would you reduce that even more?) I have used 60 minute tapes, as well as regular-position tapes, looping minute-long tapes, (that's kind of cool, but _very_ low res ^_^) and just about every other type of tape. Every time, I find that the 90 minute high-position tapes give the best results. Hope this helps! Ben --- - ben syverson - ben@eden.com Phaedrus Film
