Portable VCRs don't have a tuner. You must use a VCR with a tuner.
Tune the VCR to the output of the PXL and record.

Yes, for the connection described above, if the gender of the adaptor
is correct.

You don't have to have it, unless you want to record on a

I mean you can do it yourself, just follow the instructions I posted
here a few weeks ago. The cost of the parts is very small
and the job will take maybe a couple of hours.
