Brian, my pixcam had the same problem when I first got it.  In fact, it was

so bad there was NO picture.  So I took off the big outside "lens" and

cleaned the little 1/4" square piece of glass covering the pickup--it had a

lot of grease on it.  I had the pixcam turned on as I was doing it and I

could see the picture begin to come to life on the monitor as I was

cleaning.  But it still didn't look as clear as another pixcam I had seen,

so I removed the little glass and cleaned the OTHER side as well.  Grease

there too!  Now it's crystal clear.
