Re: marrying the pxl2k with a computer?

So what is out there that can do this? There is a certain romance to

being able to a PXL piece on a shoe-string budget. Actors can be found

to work for a title credit. Footage is $2.50 per five minutes of

type II cassette. Editing? I just popped over to Comp USA to check

out the package for Golddisk's Video Director Suite. Given what was

said by "Alexander the..." on this list last week, It doesn't seem

practical to do it unless you can run it through another cam or S-VHS

with LANC. I'm near my wits end. I see an ad in The Wiz's catalog for

Sima Pro Ed/itOE -2x at $129.95 , and Sima SFX-4 FX Video Ed/It 4OE at

$199.95. Is this the answer? Its not through the computer, but its a

lot closer to the price range than anything out there, given what Sima

says the editors can do (video, audio, & effects).

Editing is the question. What is the answer?
